Figure out WTF you want to do with your career.
You graduated. You got the degree. But you’re feeling lost and have no freakin’ clue what to do next.
Anxiety is high, and you feel like you’re under a lot of pressure to figure your shit out.
You don’t want to do what you went to school for and you’re freaking out. Or…
You do want to do what you went to school for, but you have no idea how to get started.
You want to get unstuck and find a career that feels good and is uniquely you.
You’d love to be kicking ass in your career, but frankly you’re lost as fuck.
You are not alone.
Did you know that 93% of 25-year-olds have different career goals than they did when they were 17?
That means that 93% of people who are at the beginning of their careers are going, Wait. What? I had this plan and it doesn’t feel good anymore. Fuuuuuck. That’s the norm, not the exception. Now, just because it’s the norm doesn’t mean it isn’t stressful.
As a career coach, I’d like to let you in on a little secret: Change is possible if you are willing to do a little digging.
You CAN choose to pursue a career that actually fulfils you as a human.
It’s time to shift your anxiety into strategy.
Good career navigation involves combining both intuition and logic, and you can’t actually make good decisions unless you listen to your gut.
Career Rookie helps you answer these questions for yourself.
Career Rookie helps you get back in touch with your intuition, so you can reconnect with the parts of yourself that know what you want (and also deal with any fear around it).
Everyone’s needs are different. Career Rookie won’t give you cookie cutter answers. It will help you find the answers that make sense for you and only you.
You need a roadmap that’s unique to you.
It’s a shot of encouragement, a kick in the ass, and a loving push. Because you’re stuck and, dammit, you’d rather not be.
Career Rookie is a 10-week program that helps you dig deep to get clarity on your next best career move.
This is for you if…
- You feel like everyone else has their shit together, but you have no idea what the hell you’re doing.
- You want some help to explore your options in creative ways. You don’t want to just pick a box. Ew.
- You don’t want to settle, but you don’t want to flit around chasing pipe dreams either. You want a plan that actually feels good.
- You’re down with me asking some hard questions and pointing out your blind spots. It’s done with love.
- You are sick and tired of feeling lost, and you’re ready to finally get this career thing figured out.
This is not for you if…
- You ONLY want help with your resume and cover letter. We’ll get to that, but only after we do some work to figure out what you really want.
- You want to do a career or personality assessment. That’s just not how I roll. Assessments can be fun, but they’re often kind of, well, shallow. To get you where you want to go we’ll need to dig deep.
- You’re not willing to talk about your feelings. We’re just going to have to go there. If you think career navigation is purely a rational process, you’re nuts. It’s largely emotional.
“Suddenly I feel so clear!!! Thank you for helping me to define and chase the things that are truly important to me. I’m glad I’ve taken risks and learned to be braver. A million thanks!”
“Thank you for helping me keep my face out of a bag of marshmallows this evening. I’m already starting to feel better.”
“It’s amazing how applicable your advice has been for me in the real world. I was fortunate to have 5 interviews out of 11 job applications. The resume, cover letter writing, and interview tips really helped me out in acquiring a job. I owe a lot of this success to you and don’t know how to express my gratitude but to write to you. Thank-you so much for going above and beyond with your experience and wisdom. Very grateful.”
“Thank you so much for this help and advice. You are totally killing it! Massively inspired.
“I think this really helped me figure out some of the things I want in my life, and helped me think about what I need to get to where I want to be. It was actually a very calm and cleansing experience for me. You helped me to be more open and not so closed off.”
“Thank you so much for helping me through a scary yet thrilling time in my professional development.”
“I have never been more on fire! This is a program that guarantees clarity, inspiration and motivation to truly find your passion and purpose. If you are looking for answers and are willing to climb inside of yourself to find them, DO THIS! And Sarah, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your insight and guidance. Seriously. Invaluable.”

I’ve got your back.
I’m Sarah Vermunt, the gal behind Careergasm. I help people figure out what they want so they can do work they love. Me and my work have been featured at Forbes, Entrepreneur, Inc., Fast Company, Huffington Post, Financial Times, Fortune, Tech Vibes, Flare Magazine, Global News, The Chicago Tribune, Maclean’s, Cityline, The Social, Monster, Workopolis, CTV, CBC, Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, and lots of other cool places.
I’m a former biz prof, and every month my career advice gets pumped to 30+ million homes across North America. This isn’t my first rodeo.
I also know what it’s like to feel stuck and (more importantly) get un-stuck. I’ve made some pretty badass career moves of my own:
* After graduation I snagged a job in a totally unrelated field. Nailed it.
* I quit a stable gig with awesome pay, benefits, and pension to take a chance on something new.
* I quit my PhD after 4 years and 93 pages into my dissertation. Ballsy.
* I left a six-figure career track to take a risk on building my own biz. Spoiler alert: It paid off.
Through all of this I’ve been scared shitless, but did it anyway. You can too.
“Thank you so much! I honestly feel more confident about myself. At first I felt like I was probably the only one who had no idea where my career was headed. I have hope now and it’s all thanks to you.”
Your course is so amazing! The videos, the content, I love it all. Thank-you so much!
Lu-Anne Da Costa
“As a new grad, doing this program was the best decision I made! It helped me to uncover what I really wanted, and broke it down into bite-sized steps. And Sarah’s infectious positive energy made me feel so confident and relaxed through the process. Thank you Sarah!”
“I wanted to let you know how sincerely appreciative I am of your support and help. Really, thank you so much!”
Alexander J.A. Pease
“This course has been a really informative tool in helping shed light on common themes and ingredients that are essential to finding the right career path for me. The modules make you dig deeper into clues we often don’t realize are there. Sarah knows what needs to be asked.”
“I’m loving the exercises and they’re really forcing me to be more in tune with myself!”
“A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. In less than two months I had a complete revelation in both my business and personal life. I’ve never had such clarity.”
